Mark brings expertise in brand, marketing and creative development to co-facilitate BrandIGNITION™, helping our clients discover the true essence of their brand. He has worked in several industries (from telecommunications to pharmaceuticals) and capacities (Marketing Manager, Product Manager and Creative Director). During his 30-year career, Mark's enthusiasm for design excellence and an eye for detail has resulted in ADDY, Telly and Omni Intermedia awards. He has expert 3D skills and a particular forté in photography retouching using Photoshop. In his personal life, Mark is an accomplished fine artist and avid cyclist.

Ron Bonger

CEO, Principal

Ron’s the boss. (Though he won’t admit to it out loud.) He has nearly 30 years of experience in business and agency management. He founded the original company, Firehouse Marketing, in 1990, which merged with Rainbow Communications in 2004 to become Fire & Rain. Ron is a very hands-on leader and oversees the strategic and day-to-day activities. He loves golfing, water skiing and working out.

Dena Carney

Dena Carney

Controller

Dena has over 15 years of experience in accounting, budgeting and cost management. She oversees company financial reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash-flow planning, payroll and human resources. Dena loves spending time with her family and pets and occasionally playing golf. She’s also in pretty tight with the Donald, as Celebrity Apprentice is her favorite TV show.

Jay Coy

Jay Coy

Executive Producer, Creative Director

Jay has been with Fire & Rain for over 30 years. As executive producer and creative director, Jay has successfully produced hundreds of meetings and events around the world for a diverse clientele including Microsoft, YUM! Brands (A&W, Arby’s, KFC), Atlas World Group, Mead Johnson Nutrition, Corporate Express and Abbott PPD. Industry awards include several Telly awards, an Omni and an Emmy. He is also a genuine Eagle Scout. Jay can often be found carrying a ridiculously heavy backpack, leading a bunch of middle and high schoolers up and down mountains for days at a time. (We think there’s something wrong with him, but we’re just not sure what it is yet.)

Mark Crenshaw

Director, Post-Production

Mark leads our post-production dept, where all of the pieces come together. Whether working closely with a producer, creative director or on his own, his 18-year background in video editing, 2D/3D animation, audio production and web content creation allow him to take projects to the next level as they pass through his department. Mark is a life-long musician and leans heavily on his sense of pace and timing to bring emotion and vision to projects. He also writes, records and produces music in his home studio and builds electric guitars as a hobby, which has generated interest in the US and UK.

Patty Grace

President, Learning Development and Training

Patty has over 20 years of experience working with Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies to achieve their marketing objectives through strategic communications  and leadership initiatives. Throughout her career, Patty has held positions in sales, marketing, market research and executive leadership development. Patty loves hiking and biking with her family in Colorado (where they live!) and brings this passion to the Experiential Leadership  and Training Programs she delivers with the F&R team.

Laura Nunn

Art Director

Laura holds a B.F.A. in Communication Design from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. Her background includes sales, marketing and consulting positions in the insurance, wireless and information technology industries, as well as a colorful year spent substitute teaching. Laura’s career sights and passion for design brought her back to the creative industry in recent years. She worked as an Art Director for a small media company in Southern Illinois, prior to joining the Fire & Rain team. She originally hails from Chicago, Illinois and holds an incredible sense of perseverance, having been raised a Cubs fan. A self-proclaimed fitness junkie and coffee lover, Laura’s other passions include hiking, camping, sailing, painting, cooking and wine.

Maggie Gustafson

Graphic Artist / Pre-Press

Maggie has 25 years of experience in graphic pre-press production, editing and advertising development. She has been involved with creating promotional brochures, print ads and instructional material for healthcare, manufacturing, financial, telecom and furniture industry clients. She and her husband spend their off time keeping up with an active daughter and enjoy boating on the Ohio river. In rare, quiet moments, Maggie enjoys losing herself in a good book. In a past life she has been on-air talent for public radio and a stage manager for professional productions. (She hasn’t slept since the 1980s.)

Vicky Hancock

Project Manager / Technical Writer

Vicky has over 15 years experience in project management, and in writing customer instructional literature for the Home Appliance industry. In her career, she has been instrumental in developing customer friendly formats while significantly reducing the cost of literature to the client. She has a passion for consumer education, which she was able to apply in her earlier retail management and retail-buying career, and by being an adult literacy tutor and Technical Communications instructor for apprentices in the building trades. A native of Ohio and a Miami University Graduate, she enjoyed life in many cities and towns including: Dayton, Chicago, Cleveland (West Side, East Side and South Side!), State College, PA, and Maryville, TN, before she, her husband and daughter made Evansville their home. Vicky enjoys family vacations, reading mystery and suspense novels, working puzzles, and tending to her dwarf hamster, Atticus.

Judy has a journalism degree (with a minor in Equine Science!) She’s authored and co-authored history/anniversary books for Holy Name Church, Henderson, KY and the Diocese of Owensboro, KY. Judy enjoys reading, horseback riding and spending time with her dogs. In fact, she loves animals so much that she currently owns All Creatures Great & Small Pet-Sitting Service in Henderson!

Amanda Heldt

Chief Operations Officer

Amanda has over 10 years of experience coordinating marketing programs, the last 6 of these in the healthcare industry. Her principal responsibilities include project management, coordinating all agency activities relating to healthcare projects and day-to-day client interactions. Amanda loves barrel racing (around them, not in them), team roping (not going to elaborate on that one) and also likes to run, golf and snow ski. She owns horses, dogs, cats and a couple miniature donkeys. It’s no wonder she’s comfortable with the zoo-like environment at Fire & Rain.

Amy has over 25 years of experience in design, graphic arts and pre-press production. With a BS in Art from the University of Southern Indiana, she has created print brochures, product labels, packaging, and promotional material for healthcare, manufacturing, financial, telecom and furniture industry clients. She enjoys talking to her cats, drinking margaritas and eating cake (not necessarily in that order). Her lifelong dream is to become a zookeeper at a koala sanctuary in Australia. Did we mention that she likes to eat cake?

Sally Hogue

Sally Hogue

Instructional Designer

Sally has 9 years experience working with pharmaceutical companies to develop a wide range of creative, engaging training materials for workshops and study programs in the following therapeutic areas: Immunology/Asthma, Hematology, Depression, Rheumatology, Cardiology (including statins and platelet inhibitor therapies), Ophthalmology, and Oncology (including breast, kidney, lung, liver and blood cancer therapies). Sally also has experience developing training in the areas of managed markets, access and reimbursement. Sally earned a B.S. in Biology from Portland State University and an M.A. in Teaching from Pacific University and currently resides in Arizona.  She spends her free time hiking, practicing yoga and traveling internationally.

Lindsey holds a B.S. in Food and Nutrition from the University of Southern Indiana and a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Evansville. Her writing and editing experience includes web, marketing materials, higher education publications, trade books, magazines and curriculum. For over 7 years, Lindsey has specialized in writing and proofreading for healthcare marketing and marketing communications clients. In her spare time she enjoys running, yoga, reading and hanging out with her dogs, Dora and Cooper.

Jim has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of the creative development process. His roles have included: illustrator, designer, writer, art director, creative director and agency vice president. Jim has worked in publishing, retail marketing, business-to-consumer and business-to-business marketing communications. He is the author of Burnout Sucks! How to be wildly creative and live to enjoy it! and writes about creativity, living the creative life and how to avoid burnout on his website. Jim is a compulsive doodler, and spends most meetings filling his iPad with various creatures that he swears do not represent his fellow employees. (No, really.)

Laurie Lindsey

Print Specialist

Laurie brings 15 years of agency experience to the Fire & Rain team. As a dimensional designer she has produced many specialty direct mail pieces as well as other complicated, involved projects over the years. Laurie and her husband enjoy camping, fishing, flower and vegetable gardening. And when indoors, they like to watch silly reality TV shows (only the respectable ones) with their dog and cat.

Director of Resourcing & Operations

Alan is a training manager with over 20 years experience organizing corporate training programs for Fortune 500 clients. He has headed up many teams in the design, development and implementation of major product launches, training modules and digital media projects. He has considerable expertise supervising projects in a variety of formats, including meeting environments, modular learning systems, digital, video, audio and print media. When not working on client projects, Alan enjoys his role as Executive Director of WCT, a new play development theater company he started 6 years ago in New York.

Christal Marx

Christal holds a B.S. in Public Relations from the University of Southern Indiana. Her background includes sales, marketing, copywriting and program coordination. With a passion for all things creative along with her skills in writing, marketing, organization and  a desire to tackle any challenge, Christal is a perfect fit for our team. She is dedicated to coordinating social media and digital marketing strategies to drive growth for businesses and ensure customer success. Outside of Fire & Rain, Christal is a movie buff in the winter (she hates the cold) and an outdoor junkie in the summer. She loves beach vacations, family time, party planning, cheesecake, and her 2 adorable puggles—who get away with everything.

Alice McCormick

Production Manager, Systems Administrator

Alice has over 30 years of experience in graphic pre-press production, project scheduling, IT systems administration and online digital asset management systems. She has created direct mail, direct-to-physician and direct-to-consumer materials for healthcare, manufacturing, financial and telecom clients. When she’s not keeping our ever-growing stable of Macs, iPhones, iPads and printers up and running, she enjoys spending time with family, including her two boys, her horse Vegas, Miniature Pinscher Duke, and Beagle Chewy. She also enjoys home remodeling, wine tasting, and just about every movie genre except horror. When she retires, she'd like to travel the country and see all it's beauty before settling down in a tiny little cottage, on a little plot of ground, with a small garden and chickens and just relax for a while.

Greta Morrow

Account Manager

Greta has over 20 years with Fire & Rain, 15 of those as the principal account manager for Mead Johnson Nutrition, where she is the project manager for direct marketing, sales collateral and packaging projects. She also spent several years in customer service at MJN. Her hobbies include gardening, running, bicycling and antique shopping. Greta and her husband love exploring new restaurants in towns they’ve visited and hope to eventually retire in Key West, or “anywhere tropical, really.”

Libby Nelson

Libby is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana with a B.S. in Advertising and Marketing. She has over 8 years of experience as a graphic designer producing literature and other freelance creative projects including logos, invitations, and magazine layout and design. A winner of multiple design contests, she also sings the National Anthem at sporting events and has run 6 half marathons with her husband. When they’re not exercising, she and her husband enjoy playing with their adorable 2-year-old son.

With 19 years experience in education, Lyndra holds an M.S. in Educational Technology with an emphasis in Library Science. Born and raised in Kansas, Lyndra wasn’t swept here by a tornado, but her life was a whirlwind at times raising her triplet boys. They are in college now, but are still very near and dear to their mother’s heart. Lyndra is often immersed in digital photo restoration, scrapbooking, iTunes and her Yorkie, Sadie. In nice weather, you may see her on the back of her husband’s red Kawasaki 900 Vulcan… live long and prosper!

With more than 25 years’ experience in adult education, sales training and curriculum development, Jill holds a Doctorate in Education, an MBA in Marketing, and a BS in Business. Dr. Padgett has partnered with myriad pharmaceutical and biotech firms to develop dynamic learning solutions focusing on maximizing your company’s most important asset—people. Her focus is on a strategic blended approach to preparation, application and transfer of learning in an engaging, interactive format that resonates with needs of today’s learners. Jill also holds a registered securities representative license—Series 7 and Series 66, and has facilitated and trained new hire sales training in the financial industry. Jill loves the Arizona sunshine and spends time enjoying the outdoors. You can also find her practicing yoga and gaining enrichment from visits to Africa, China, Tibet and many other wonderful places.

Molly is a graduate of Saint Louis University with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. She supports Amanda in project management and coordinating all agency activities related to day-to-day client activities. Molly is the proud parent of dogs named Doug and Louie, she sings at weddings, and enjoys golfing, baking and piano (catch her quick, she’s a busy girl!).

Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness and Learning

Noel has over 30 years of experience in educational curriculum design, training and building high-performance teams. Her focus is on strategic planning and assisting corporations in strengthening culture through aligning strategy, objectives and communication with Vision and Mission. She also designs effective core training and workshops for product launches and national sales meetings. (And she’s pretty much the only one that understands what you just read.) She LOVES to travel and has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, had flight delays due to volcano eruptions and a long list of other crazy things. (Not counting her rather, um, finicky eating habits. She calls herself a “beefitarian” and will only eat things in their “natural state.” That is, except for beef.)

Julie is a graduate of the University of Evansville with a B.S. in Art and Associated Study in Math. She has 18 years experience in the graphic design and production industry ranging from pre-press, technical literature layout and illustration, technology research and implementation and database management. Julie enjoys following her son in his numerous activities (sports, scouts, FFA, etc.) and volunteers as the Treasurer for his Boy Scout Troop. She, her husband and son have a dog, 2 cats and a frog that keep them hopping (no pun intended). They also like to hunt, fish, camp and go to archery tourneys. When Julie's busy schedule slows down she'd like to get back into bigger archery tourneys. (She and her husband competed in a world archery tournament a few years back!) and travel.

David Ross

Staging / Lighting Director

In his 30+ year career with Fire & Rain, David has developed dynamic room environments as well as award-winning visual media productions. He has lensed productions in all 50 states and several foreign countries. David’s passion is lighting, and it shows in the body of work he has created over the years. David also enjoys photography, indie film-making, hiking and, most importantly, being a father. He has begun to outline ideas for an industry-related book as well as some lighting-related inventions.

Whitney Ross

Account Executive

Whitney joined Fire & Rain's Account Management team in 2015. She holds a B.S. degree in Public Relations and Advertising from University of Southern Indiana. Before joining Fire and Rain, she worked as a Marketing Analyst and Account Manager for P&I Supply, a US distributor of safety and welding items. Her experience includes sales collateral design, e-commerce and order entry management, product quoting and performance reporting. Whitney has also assisted The American Red Cross with event planning. A proud owner of a Doberman named Duchess and an avid horse lover, Whitney can often be found running, hiking or visiting horse farms in Lexington, KY. She is also a die-hard Yankees fan.

Joan Shappard

Joan is a Murray State University graduate, with a Journalism major and an Advertising minor. She has worked with clients on the agency side her entire 30-year career in areas of public relations, event planning, and strategic marketing. Joan has “returned home,” rejoining F&R after taking time off to raise her family. She previously managed our Northeast Regional Office in Princeton, New Jersey. Joan lives in Newburgh, IN, but her heart has never left Kentucky, where she grew up. She travels as much as time permits, and loves working in her yard as often as the seasons allow. An over-the-top animal lover, she currently has five four-legged critters – two dogs and three cats — but has had guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, birds and a box turtle, mostly due to her son’s and daughter’s pleading. (not really!)

He has been with Fire & Rain for 9 years as a strategist/account planner for healthcare and pharmaceutical clients.

Angie has over 30 years of experience in production, art direction and creative design. She has created direct mail, packaging and promotional material for healthcare, manufacturing, financial, telecom and furniture industry clients. In her spare time Angie enjoys cooking, entering BBQ contests, making old, dumpy houses new again, real estate and vacations at the beach. She loves her boys, grandsons, family and vacations at the beach. She’s acquired a taste for beer, hates shopping and loves vacations at the beach. Do you see a pattern here?

Dan has spent nearly his entire 25-year career in corporate communications, producing and directing video pieces for clients that include many Fortune 500 companies. He has also acquired a uniquely broad understanding of all the technical and creative elements that are involved in producing a live corporate event and possesses an exceptional ability to effectively manage every detail.

Tiffany is the smiling face and friendly voice that first greets you as you walk in our front door or call us on the phone. She’s also a whiz with numbers and serves as our Accounting Clerk—responsible for accounts payable, purchase orders, managing time sheets, human resources and day-to-day projects. Tiffany is married with two little girls and loves spending time with family when she’s not working, taking accounting classes at WGU or studying. In her spare time she’s an avid IU fan and cheers for the St. Louis Cardinals. Tiffany is also an animal lover and has 2 dogs, a cat and a black swan named Swanee.
